You can assign or reassign Tasks on a Job Bag.  This helps you track the progress of your tasks, and provides granular visibility of the tasks on a selected job.

  1. Open the Job Bag from which you want to assign or reassign tasks.

     Assigning Tasks on a Job Bag

    Here's a visual demonstration for assigning Tasks on a Job Bag

    1. From the Tasks tab, and then click the Add button to add a new line.

    2. A new Task row will be added to the bottom of the list for editing. Optionally add a short Description of the task.

      The description will pull through on the Add new line dialog as notes when a user captures their timesheets. This will only apply if there are no Task notes added to the task.
    3. On the new row select a Task Type to be assigned.

      If the Task that you want to assign is not available in the list, speak to your Chase Administrator about adding it.
    4. Select the user or team that will be assigned to this task in the Assigned To field.

      You will also be able to see planning notes for each employee if they have been set up. Planning Notes can be added on the User Details dialog.

    5. Select the Start and Finish date for this task.

    6. Enter the number of hours to be allocated for this Task.

    7. Ensure that Task is selected in the Booking/Task column.

    8. Enter any additional details about the Task by clicking the expand icon inline with the relevant task and enter your Notes.

      These notes will pull through on the Add new line dialog when a user captures their timesheets. If task notes are not added, the system will automatically populate timesheet notes with the task description. If both are blank, the timesheet note will be left blank.

     Reassigning a Task on a Job Bag

    You would typically reassign a Task if an incorrect user has been selected, or the user has been overbooked and assigned with too many tasks. In the following example, the task will be reassigned from Francine to Alex.

    A Task can be reassigned to a different user on condition that time has not been captured against that Task.

    1. Delete the name in the Assigned To field against the Task you want to reassign.

    2. Click the Assigned To drop down and select the user that the Task will be reassigned to.

  2. Save all changes made to the Job Bag screen.

    The selected user will see the task on the Home page in the Tasks list.
