You can copy and paste text into the Brief editor from another application. 

Below are steps to show you how to copy a Brief from MS Word (or any other text editor or browser) into Chase.

Step-by-step guide


Ensure that your document is ready to copy into Chase.


  1. Open the Job Bag containing the brief you want to edit. 

  2. Select the Brief from the Job Bag tree on the left-hand side of the screen.

  3. Highlight the text from the Word document, and press the Ctrl + C keys on your keyboard to copy.

    If you are using a PC:

    Press Ctrl + C to paste normally

    Press Ctrl + SHIFT + C to paste as Plain Text

    Mouse right-click - Copy


    If you are using MAC:

    Press CMD + C to paste normally

    Press CMD + SHIFT + C to paste as Plain Text

    Mouse right-click - Copy





  4. Click anywhere in the Brief editor and press the Ctrl + V keys on your keyboard.

    If you are using a PC:

    Press Ctrl + V to paste normally

    Press Ctrl + SHIFT + V to paste as Plain Text

    Mouse right-click - Paste


    If you are using MAC:

    Press CMD + V to paste normally

    Press CMD + SHIFT +V to paste as Plain Text

    Mouse right-click - Paste




  5. Notice that the Word text has been pasted into the Brief editor with the correct formatting.

    To view the editor in full screen mode, click on the Maximize button.

    Hover over the Paste help icon to view options that can be used to paste text into Chase.
