In the Inter-Company feature, one company plays the role of a client and the other plays the role of a supplier.

This feature needs to be enabled and some configuration is required to create a partnership linking the two companies.

For more details please see the Inter-Company overview

Below are steps to show you how to enable and configure Inter-Company.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on Settings on the Ribbon.

  2. Select Features from the Configuration menu.

    The Features screen appears.

  3. Tick the checkboxes to the right of:
Advanced Spend Management (to facilitate the process of the Request for Quote where a minimum number of Quotes needs to be created and sent to different Suppliers), and
Inter-Company Transfer (to facilitate the Inter-company partnership between two Chase companies).

Please note that the feature has to be enabled on the Client-side and Supplier-side agency.

  4. Click the Save button.

  5. On the Configuration menu, click on Global Settings.

  6. Ensure that an amount is stated in the Value of items that Require RFQ process field.

Please note that this option is only important if you will be using the Request for Quote initiated process

If an amount is stated in the Value of items that Require RFQ process field, users will not be allowed to move a CE status from Draft to any other status (except Cancelled) if any external line items on a CE are estimated over a configured value.

For this example, R 20 000 was entered.

  7. Click the Save button.

  8. On the Configuration menu, click on Cross Company Config.

The Job Cross Company Setup screen appears.

On this screen, you will be able to create the partnership between the two companies. The client-side agency will have to configure the partnership on their Chase system, and the supplier-side agency will also need to set up the partnership on their Chase system.

  9. Click the Add Partnership button.

    The Partnership Setup dialog appears.
