Logging time for a sub task is done the same way you would log time for a normal task - either on the Timesheets page directly, or using the Log Time button. A sub task can be identified with the "Sub Task" text next to the task.

Below are steps to show you how to log time on a sub task.

Step-by-step guide

  1. With the Timesheets screen open, click the Log Time button on the Toolbar.

  2. Click the My Tasks tab.

  3. Click the drop down arrow on the My Task field, and select the relevant sub task.

A sub task can be differentiated with the text "Sub Task" at the end of the task name.

In this example, Job 93 was selected.

  4. In the Day Times section under the relevant day field, enter the time spent on the Task.

In this example, 3.00 was entered in the Mon field.

  5. In the Notes field, enter additional information about work carried out on the task, and then check the Mark Task Complete checkbox.

  6. Click the Save and Close button.

The completed task still appears on the Task list, however, it is greyed out, and you will not be able to interact with it.  Notice that the sub task has an icon next to it.
