Chase allows you to move a Job's timeline if you do not have the required resources to complete it on time, or your client would like to change times.  Once the Job's timeline changes, all related Tasks on the Job will move accordingly.

A Job Bag's timeline can be moved by selecting the date timeline it should be moved to, or by dragging the grey bar under the Gantt tab.

Moving an entire Job Bag's timeline on the Task View


  1. With the Resource Planner open, select the job you want to edit from the Job List view.

    In this example, job 69 was selected.



    All Tasks belonging to this Job are displayed in the Tasks tab. 

  2. Click the date picker in the First Task Start Date field.



    A calendar appears.
     
  3. Select the day on which the project will start.

    In this example, 7 March was selected.



    The Move all dialog appears with a caution message.

  4. Click the Yes button to move the timeline and related tasks.



    Notice that this moved all other related Tasks on the Job.

  5. Click the Save button to save the changes made.




Moving an entire Job Bag's timeline on the Gantt view


  1. With the Resource Planner open, select the job from the Job List

    In this example, job 19 was selected.



    All Tasks belonging to this Job are displayed in the Tasks tab. 

  2. Click the Gantt tab.



    The Gantt tab is opened. 

  3. To move the Job Bag's timeline, drag the grey bar to the desired date. 

    When dragging the bar, two black lines will appear on both sides of the bar to help you place it on the correct date.

    In this example, Job 19 was moved to 21 March.



    Notice that all Tasks related to this Job Bag are moved accordingly.

  4. Click the Save button to make the changes permanent.
