There are occasions when time is captured for the wrong client, or against the incorrect job number.  You can move the time that you have captured against a client or a job.

Step-by-step guide


Moving time between clients


  1. Click the Move Costs button on the Ribbon.



  2. Click on the drop down arrow on the Select an Action field, and select Move Time between Clients.



    Notice that there are two groups on this screen, the From and To group. 



  3. Click on the drop down arrow on the Company field in the From group, and select the company you would like to move time from.  
    In this example, only one company is available for selection - Insika Productions.



  4. Click on the drop down arrow on the Client field, and select the client you want to move time from.
    In this example, Trish Beauty Spa – Heidelberg was selected.



  5. Click on the drop down arrow on the Employee field, and select the employee you would like to move time for.  

    Select All Users to move time for all employees. 


    In this example, Carol Fourie was selected.



  6. Select the time entry you would like to move.

    You can move a specific time line entry, or select All Time and Materials to move all time for the selected client. 


    In this example, Cast and Casting was selected.



  7. Select the company you would like to move time to. 
    In this example, Insika Production was selected.



  8. Select the client you are moving the time to. 
    In this example, Juri Beauty Parlour was selected.



  9. Click the Move button to move the time.



    It is confirmed that the time has been moved.





Moving time between jobs


  1. Click the Move Costs button on the Ribbon.



  2. Click on the drop down arrow on the Select an Action field, and select Move Time between Jobs.



    Notice that there are two groups on this screen, the From and To group. 



  3. Click on the drop down arrow on the Job field in the From group, and select the Job from which the time must be moved.  
    In this example, Job 5 was selected.



  4. Click on the drop down arrow on the Employee field, and select the employee you would like to move time for.  

    Select All Users to move time for all employees. 

    In this example, Administrator was selected.




  5. Select the time entry you would like to move.

    You can move a specific time line entry, or select All Time and Materials to move all time for the selected job. 


    In this example, Cast and Casting was selected.



  6. Click the drop down arrow on the Job field in the To group, and select the Job to which the time must be moved.
    In this example, Job 3 was selected.



  7. Click on the Move button to move the time.



    It is confirmed that the time has been moved.
